Thomas David Accountancy

I wanted to create an accounting firm to serve clients of my choosing and to leverage the skills and experience I’ve built up over 30 years.
was set up by me, Thomas David, in 2018, as I wanted to create an accounting firm to serve clients of my choosing and to leverage the skills and experience I’ve built up over 30 years.
I thought it would be useful to outline my background as it is fairly unique. It also means I’m able to bring a wide range of experience, skills and insight to clients I now work with.
With hindsight I’ve always been ambitious. At several stages through my career I have stepped up to gain more skills and experience and take on more responsibility. Setting up my own firm in Bristol is the most recent of these steps.
I am from India originally where I gained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree in and joined an accountancy firm in 1989. After 10 years I moved to Bahrain and worked for two trading and manufacturing companies as an Accounts Exec and then as a Chief Accountant.
In 2003 I moved to the UK to further my career and I secured a position at Wormald and Partners in Bristol. I studied for and passed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants exams and became a Qualified Accountant in 2006. This role gave me more experience across a range of industries and I gained promotion to a senior role at Wormald and Partners.
However I’ve had the ambition to set up my own accountancy practice for many years and took the step to do so in 2018.
Alongside this I’m delighted to become a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants – an FCCA – and to be working with the local ACCA committee to raise its profile and support rising accountancy professionals.
My vision for Thomas David Accountancy is to grow the firm by winning new clients and by taking on staff to provide a comprehensive range of accountancy and business advisory services to many businesses and individuals, in Bristol, the South West, across the UK and internationally.
I do hope I’ll have the opportunity to have a chat with you soon.

Yours sincerely

Thomas David
